The AVS Conference provides a collegial forum to encourage the participation of established as well as early career researchers to promote, exchange and discuss the latest advancements in all aspects of virology. The Scientific committee is aiming to create a program that addresses the diversity of research topics that attract a broad discipline of delegates. The Scientific Committee is delighted to invite you to submit an abstract for AVS10.
Topics can include, but are not restricted to:
- Viral structure, replication, assembly and egress
- Virus-host interactions
- Emerging viruses, Phages and Plant viruses
- Antiviral treatments and vaccines
- Systems biology approaches to Virology
During The submission process, you will indicate to submit either an Oral Presentation or a Poster Presentation. In some circumstances, we may not accept your Oral Presentation, and offer a Poster Presentation instead.

|POWERPOINT PREPERATION||Please bring your power point presentation with you on a USB. The ratio for your power point presentation should be 16:9|
|TIMING||Please check the program for your specific presentation allowance, the majority of presentations are 15 minutes in length. If you wish to have a Q&A as part of your presentation, please include this in your time allocation.|
POSTER PRESENTATIONS Submissions should relate to the themes and authors should nominate poster when submitting their abstract. Abstracts submitted for oral presentations that have not been accepted may be invited to provide a poster presentation.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS Selected authors will be invited to present their papers in an appropriate session. Presenters will be invited to participate in a question and answer period at the conclusion of each session.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS Authors MUST submit a separate abstract for each presentation put forward for consideration. Abstracts must be received no later than 2 September 2019 • All abstracts must be submitted electronically via the presentation portal • Faxed abstracts will not be accepted. • Abstracts must be no longer than 300 words. • The presenter’s biography must be provided and be no longer than 200 words. • Notification of Acceptance will be provided by 1 October 2019. Abstracts will be reproduced in the online conference proceedings. At least one author of each accepted submission will agree to register for the conference, pay the appropriate registration fee, and present as scheduled.
