 Following the first Keynote presentation for the Meeting, attendees can catch up with friends and colleagues in an informal atmosphere. Each attendee will receive two drink vouchers and platters of savory canapes will be served.

 

Breakfast Career Development session: Successfully transitioning from post-doc to lab head

One of the most difficult and exciting times in your career is making the transition from being a post-doc to becoming an independent lab head. This session is aimed at early to mid-career researchers who wish to learn about how to successfully navigate this stage of their careers and will be provided by experienced virologists who have had diverse and long careers. Topics to be covered include managing people and teams, managing your project(s) and managing your time to be productive at work whilst balancing family commitments.

 

Gala Dinner

Where: Prime Waterfront Restaurant, 2 Rees Street, Queenstown Lake Front , New Zealand

When: Thursday 5th December 2019

Time:    19:30 – 23:30

Cost:     Delegates and Guests AU$95 per person

Student Delegates AU$70 per person

The AVS10 Gala Dinner will be held at ​Prime Waterfront Restaurant where you will enjoy lake-side dining with panoramic views of Queenstown’s lake and mountains. At the Gala Dinner attendees will enjoy a three course dinner with all beverages included, followed by a fun filled evening where you can let your hair down with fellow delegates dancing to great tunes pumped out by the local DJ.
